Peshmarga forces allowed to go to Kobanî
NEWS DESK - According to a report that has just broken on Rûdaw, Turkey has approved of the Kurdistan Regional Government's proposal for its Peshmerga forces to go to Kobanî through North Kurdistan.
The President of the Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzanî had called upon Turkey to open a corridor for the Peshmerga forces to help the YPG defend Kobanî. According to the reports, Turkey has now responded positively to this demand.
The Peshmerga Minister Mustafa Seyid Kadir has ben holding meetings with PYD and YPG officials for the past two days on this matter.
Kobanî gets armed assistance from USA
NEWS DESK - The US has announced that it has sent arms and medical supplies to Kobanî by air from the Federal Kurdistan Region.
US Central Command (Centcom) said aircraft had made “multiple drops of arms, munitions and medical supplies to Kobanê,” which is under siege from ISIS. The statement said the supplies had been provided by the Kurdish authorities in the Federal Kurdistan Region.
CentCom added that US forces had conducted more than 135 air strikes against ISIS in Kobanî.
YPG advances in Kobanî
NEWS DESK - YPG forces, since last night, have inflicted heavy blows on ISIS gangs in Kobanî and advancing towards the points far from the city center.
ISIS's severe atacks started on 15 September still continue around Kobanî. According to ANHA correspondent on the ground, ISIS gangs attacked YPG forces in Kaniya Kurdan to the east of the city yet were strongly responded by YPG fighters. A number of ISIS gangs were killed and ammunition was seized by YPG forces.
Last night YPG forces carried out an attack in the municipality neighborhood and cleansed ISIS gangs of the region. Also, YPG forces on the south front launched an operation in which some ISIS gangs were killed. YPG Press Center is expected to release the details of the operations and attacks soon.
