Possibile che i comunisti abbiano potuto fare una scelta così netta? Non era questa finalmente, l’occasione giusta per loro di «scegliere con dubbio» che è la sola umana di tutte le scelte? Il lettore dell’Unità non ne sarebbe cresciuto? Non avrebbe finalmente pensato – ed è il minimo che potesse fare che nulla al mondo si può dividere in due? E che egli stesso è chiamato a decidere sulla propria opinione? E perché invece l’Unità ha condotto una vera e propria campagna per «creare» un’opinione? Forse perché Israele è uno Stato nato male? Ma quale Stato, ora libero e sovrano, non è nato male? E chi di noi, inoltre, potrebbe garantire agli Ebrei che in Occidente non ci sarà più alcun Hitler o che in America non ci saranno nuovi campi di concentramento per drogati, omosessuali e ebrei? O che gli ebrei potranno continuare a vivere in pace nei paesi arabi? Forse possono garantire questo il direttore dell’Unità, o Antonello Trombadori o qualsiasi altro intellettuale comunista?

E non è logico che, chi non può garantire questo, accetti, almeno in cuor suo, l’esperimento dello Stato d’Israele, riconoscendone a sovranità e la libere!?

E che aiuto si dà al mondo arabo fingendo di ignorare la sua volontà di distruggere Israele?

Cioè fingendo di ignorare la sua realtà?

Non sanno tutti che la realtà del mondo arabo, come la realtà della gran parte dei paesi in via di sviluppo – compresa in patte l’Italia – ha classi dirigenti, polizie, magistrature, indegne?

E non sanno tutti che, come bisogna distinguere la nazione israeliana dalla stupidità del sionismo, così bisogna distinguere i popoli arabi dall’irresponsabilità del loro fanatico nazionalismo?

L’unico modo per essere veramente amici dei popoli arabi in questo momento, non è forse aiutarli a capire la politica folle di Nasser, che non dico la storia, ma il più elementare senso comune, ha già giudicato e condannato?
